We did the bulk of the Darvulia video film shoot in a small theater in Sacramento, California. We hired a small team of actors and actresses and made it play format, and actually, more a play within a play.
The reason is because Darvulia is the direction we’re going – high art. We’ll release the orchestral score later on to the public. You can buy the Darvulia single now from Amazon and see what all the fuss is about. Be sure to turn it up really loud, so you’ll hear the level of work we put into it.
The song has 8 Violins I, 7 Violins II, 5 Violas, two rhythm guitars, one lead guitar, bass, drums, and of course Skitz singing both lead and harmony and Roman adding his harmony vocals. It’s pretty big!
Multiple locations for the Darvulia video shoot
Another thing we wanted to accomplish – multiple locations. Skitz found some pretty cool parts of San Francisco to finish up the video shoot.
Roman got chewed up by mosquitoes
Skitz was smart to wear a leather jacket. For a San Francisco day, it was pretty hot. However, the mosquitoes have been breeding like crazy with all this rain.
Of course, you’ve heard that the San Francisco Bay Area has both the Zika virus and the West Nile virus. Great! We shot some of the scenes in the forest and whereas the Skitz and also the camera crew remained unbitten, Roman got chewed up by mosquitoes.
Be sure to subscribe to the Astral Eyes YouTube channel. The music video will be out next month. You definitely don’t want to miss this one!
